Hooray, ISAT testing is over with and we will resume our normal schedule on Monday.
German students learned how to create numbers. Basically, larger numbers (20-100) are said backwards. For example, to say 35 you would say five and thirty in German. To practice this new concept we did several worksheets and played games. There is also a homework sheet 1.3 due on Monday.

Spanish students also learned their numbers and practiced with a workshee (sorry no songs and games this time). They also received their first vocabulary list and practiced small talk.

French students familiarized themselves with the book by completing two seperate worksheets. They also learned their numbers and completed a partner activity to practice. Next week they will learn a song to help them remember the numbers 1 through 100.

Hi all and welcome to Old Quarry Middle School Foreign Culture. Thank-you for being patient while I have been away. My husband is recovering nicely from his heart surgery.
I hope that you will find this web site useful. I created this for the sole purpose of keeping my students and their parents fully informed of what is occurring in my classroom. If a student is absent because of illness or vacations taken during the middle of the school year, they can always see what is going on and download any notes and assignments. This site is also where the extra-credit may be found (top right-hand corner). Extra-credit it given once a week, with it being due in my e-mail by midnight on Friday.
So, the first assignment is for the parents! Please review the classroom guidelines and parents, send me a quick e-mail with comments to the guidelines or blog. Classroom guidelines
Thank-you!
